Job Description

Canadian University Dubai is looking to hire suitably skilled and devoted candidate for role of Procurement Officer. The job was announced by the university on February 14, 2024. Candidate desirous for the role should submit their application now.

Responsibilities of Procurement Officer

  • Coordinates and facilitates the procurement requirements on the basis of the procurement policy guidelines.
  • Pre qualification of suppliers, proposals / quotations received as provided in the procurement policy.
  • Creates purchase orders, ensuring relevant procurement procedures have been applied and all supporting documentation is attached.
  • Ensuring that invoices received reconcile to purchase orders create and match receipts to purchase orders.
  • Assist in the selection of appropriate suppliers and contractors, to promote good procurement practice with due regard to sustainability, ethical purchasing standards and costing.
  • Work with internal stakeholders (faculty or operations staff) to determine procurement needs, quality and delivery requirements.
  • Responsible for order placement timing, supply / demand alignment, material replenishment and supplier performance.
  • Control and monitor expenses against approved budgets.
  • Keep daily records, bar code assets and update asset register.
  • Ensure Legal Compliance.
  • Production of reconciliations and reports on a monthly and daily basis.

Job Requirements of Procurement Officer

  • A minimum related university undergraduate degree.
  • A minimum of two years working experience, with having prior experience of working in an education institution or related.
