Procurement Engineer Al Masaood Abu Dhabi

Procurement Engineer at Al Masaood in Infiniti Showroom Building, Fatima Bint Mubarak Street (Formally Najda Street), PO Box 322, Abu Dhabi, UAE will oversee Procurement of goods and services for Al Masaood Group with consultation of the business unit. Establish Procurement Business partner relationship to support the business efficiently with its strategic and day-to day needs to support operations. Evaluate supplier markets, understand the requirement, deliver the best quality of product and services for the feasible costs. Maintain inventory of approved suppliers, administrate strategic suppliers’ agreements, sustain supplier’s relationship and manage suppliers’ risks. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 15000-25000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Procurement Engineer

• Review supplier product designs, processes, and activities for compliance with company manufacturing guidelines, quality processes, and standards
• Consult with engineering/R&D/BU technical personnel to establish performance criteria and specifications for suppliers.
• Source and investigate potential suppliers and recommend suitable ones for BU projects or existing products.
• Perform RFQ and total cost analysis.
• Work with key suppliers to help improve their performance, competitiveness, and capabilities.
• Drive a step change in supplier capability through the utilization of continuous improvement techniques, structured interventions, risk mitigation and other action plans.
• Identify opportunities for innovation sharing, co-design/development utilizing the relevant capabilities of both parties for mutual benefit.
• Drive continuous review in supplier performance through the utilization of continuous improvement techniques, structured interventions, risk mitigation and other action plans.
• Coordinate of project materials flows, storage, and distribution in accordance with company policies

• Identifying and delivering efficiency savings and improved contractual arrangements
• Monitoring and advising on supply risk and/or opportunity to the organization.
• Monitoring market trends, competitor strategies and market suppliers
• Providing analysis on costs, new and existing and review cost reduction activities
• Adhering to Procurement Policy and other organizational compliance
• Working closely with Procurement BP’s from other BU’s and review opportunities and synergies for continuous improvements
• Adhering to Al Masaood health, safety and environmental policies and procedures to ensure the safety and well-being of self, staff and visitors.
• Conducting regular performance review with suppliers to drive continuous improvements.

Requirements for Role of Procurement Engineer

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Finance/Supply chain.
• CIPS would be an advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Procurement and Quantity Surveying. (QS)
• Candidates should have experience of working on complex and fast tracking fit-out and refurbishment projects.
• Good experience in developing effective Procurement strategies.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

• Track record on cost savings and value add activities.
• Good knowledge of vendor sourcing practices (researching, evaluating, vendor risk management)
• Proficiency in administrating and negotiating contracts terms and conditions.
