Amazon is looking for an impact driven and results oriented Principal (MEA Programs, WW Sustainability) to drive delivery of Amazon’s sustainability goals in the Middle East & Africa regions and expand thought leadership for the company. This role will drive in-region coverage of sustainability programs, provide support and governance, and a coordinated one Amazon approach to policy advocacy and external engagement and communication. You will also use your regional vantage point to influence the scoping and building of global systems and programs required to drive sustainability progress at global scale. This is a high-impact role that requires a solid understanding of the role of business and society, as well as the environmental, social and governance (ESG) landscape and implications for Amazon. Responsibilities of A Principal WW Sustainability

• Develop specific action plans/ country narratives by working with local sustainability stakeholders to support delivery of Amazon’s sustainability goals. Drive systems change and inform our policy advocacy and external engagement strategy.
• Provide region-centric insight. Identify hotspots across social and environmental impact areas, surface priorities to global program roadmaps and strengthen Amazon’s position as a sustainability leader.
• Drive periodic reviews, reporting and identify areas where we need to double-down on our sustainability efforts.
• Facilitate meetings with all levels of Amazon management and external stakeholders.

Eligibility Requirements

The eligibility requirements for role of a Principal WW Sustainability  are as under:

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
• Proficient with written and spoken Arabic.
• 7+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams experience.
• 7+ years of program or project management experience.
• 7+ years of managing, analyzing and communicating results to senior leadership experience.
• Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization.
• Experience defining program requirements and using data and metrics to determine improvements.
