Principal Quality Assurance Engineer Emirates Airline UAE

Emirates Airline is presently seeking candidates for the job position of a Principal Quality Assurance Engineer in Dubai, UAE. The selected candidate will lead the strategic planning, development and implementation of quality engineering practices and processes within an agile release train. In accordance with quality standards and best practice guidelines to ensure adoption of modern delivery practises for quality products and services built using world class engineering practices.

Responsibilities of Principal Quality Assurance Engineer

• Lead quality engineering design and build for quality engineering solutions across teams within a release train. Carry out effective technical design reviews to ensure that the right architecture patterns are used to support modern quality engineering practices.
• Plan and lead a risk-based approach for end-to-end testing across all stages of development within release trains, ensuring inclusion and alignment with the business.
• Create, evaluate and implement quality engineering standards and improvements. Ensure they are being consistently implemented within release trains.
• Collaborate with the leadership and team members to identify and eliminate non-value adding work, with the aim of driving efficiency and productivity across teams and release trains.
• Champion automation, lean software development, test driven development, agile practices, timely root cause analysis and blameless incident post-mortems to drive continuous improvements.
• Develop/Identify framework, tools and practices to improve delivery quality of technology solutions and productivity of quality engineers.
• Foster a climate of continuous improvement amongst the team members based on scaled agile software development principles. Act as a trusted advisor for the quality engineers and guide the team to work autonomously in a multi-disciplinary feature teams.
• Lead, coach and mentor quality engineers within a release train, providing leadership and continuous feedback whilst facilitating professional development across all areas of quality engineering.
• Ensure appropriate processes are in place to support reporting at portfolio and enterprise level to demonstrate OKR progress.

Requirements for Role of Principal Quality Assurance Engineer

The eligibility requirements for role of Principal Quality Assurance Engineer are as under:

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field or relevant experience.
• BCS Agile Practitioner. iSQI Certified Agile Tester.
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a relevant role.
• Quality engineering building of complex, scalable and large software solutions in digital, data or enterprise domain.
• Development of quality test frameworks and quality practices in support of large scale agile delivery.
• Leading quality engineering teams with 20+ quality engineers in a large solution domain.
• Quality engineering lead with experience of digital transformations.
• Scaled agile methodology experience, with modern flexible working practices.
• Demonstrable experience of leading software quality engineers in an agile environment.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Excellent grasp of latest testing trends and technologies. – Excellent knowledge of automation methodologies, processes, and tools with 5+ years of hands-on experience.
• Proficiency in programming languages, coding design patterns, best practices and code reviews.
• Demonstrable skills in designing and developing UI & API automation frameworks with enterprise and open-source tools.
• Hands on technical leader with experience using automation frameworks and CI tools like Jenkins, Azure DevOps or equivalent.
• Good understanding of branching and merging strategies using, GitHub or Bitbucket or similar tools.
• Good architectural knowledge of large-scale systems. Preferred skills
• Strong understanding of driving adoption of scaled agile testing across multiple feature teams.
• Aware of the latest testing and technology trends and using them to improve daily practices
