Job Description

As a Principal Operations & Maintenance Planning Engineer in Electrical Systems at Tabreed in Masdar City, Abu Dhabi, UAE, candidate will be implementing best operation and maintenance practises for the Company’s electrical distribution systems is must for achieving operational excellence, this position is a resource responsible for centrally leading and locally supporting the operation and maintenance. Develop the whole electrical system switching program and the associated framework of manual, strategies, and standard operating procedures. Lead the shift from TBM toward CBM, RCM and/or PdM for electrical systems and develop the associated framework of manual, strategies, and standard work procedures, and Train the operation and maintenance personnel to develop their empowerment, procedure drafting autonomy, electrical safety culture and electrical risk maturity. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 20000-45000 AED/month.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and Maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Safety Protocols:
  • Develop and update SOPs and safety protocols for working with high voltage equipment. To ensure compliance with regulatory standards and enhance worker safety.
  • Perform Maintenance of Systems (MOS) and Risk Assessments:
  • Conduct MOS to identify potential hazards associated with medium and high voltage equipment, perform risk assessments, And develop mitigation strategies to minimize risks.
  • Monitor and Maintain High Voltage Systems:
  • Regularly monitor the performance of medium and high voltage systems, including transformers, switchgear. And circuit breakers, to identify any deviations or potential issues.
  • Conduct Routine Inspections and Tests:
  • Conduct scheduled inspections and tests on electrical equipment to detect wear, damage, or potential failures early.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues:
  • Identify and resolve issues related to medium and high voltage systems promptly to minimize downtime and maintain operational continuity.
  • Coordinate with Engineering Teams:
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to plan and execute system upgrades, expansions, or modifications to improve system performance and reliability.

Requirements for Role of Principal Operations & Maintenance Planning Engineer

  • Bachelor Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 10+ years’ experience in operation and/or maintenance of power systems in utilities or in industry.
  • 5+ years’ experience in Management role.
