The Aquila School (part of International Schools Partnership, ISP) is currently looking for Primary Teachers to join their growing school for next academic year 2024-25. Core Purpose of A Primary Teachers

• To be accountable for ensuring that children are inspired, motivated & equipped to make as much progress with their learning as possible through relevant and engaging learning experiences.
• Work collaboratively, coaching, supporting and training colleagues and families.
• Have a positive impact on the work of the school

Responsibilities of A Primary Teachers

• Ensure children are safe and well cared for at all time.
• Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons, ensuring that children are actively learning throughout each lesson and that every child makes as much progress as possible.
• Ensure effective communication and direct the work of others as appropriate.
• Lead extra curricular activities, participating and leading staff training and contributing to the establishment and development of the school community
• Comply with school agreed policies and Aquila Ways.
• Actively engage with school community e.g. through newsletters, informal dialogue, reporting, supporting school functions and contributing to community and marketing activities to make The Aquila School the school of choice for community.
• Actively participate in the professional development process of self and others.

Key Qualities & Skills Desired

• Able to teach in an enjoyable, creative and inclusive way, promoting independence, so that every child, including those who attend the Hemam centre (an on site centre for children with SPLD), makes as much progress as possible.
• Develop positive working relationships with all members of the school community
• Able to use initiative, be flexible, fun, proactive and positive.
• Ability to plan lessons which enable children to be independent, active learners and make as much progress as possible.
• Willingness to work above and beyond to contribute to the development of a learning community.

Qualification & Experience

• Have a UK/Irish teaching qualification with QTS for this age group
• UK/Irish Qualified teacher status
• Experience of teaching in the UK/Ireland.
• Experience working in range of key stages.
• Experience working in an international school.
