The following tasks will be performed by the Primary Class Teacher
Lead and support the teaching and learning of all children through models of excellent classroom practice
Monitor the effectiveness of teaching using planning scrutiny, work sampling, lesson observations, and learning walks
Collect and analyse timely and accurate assessment data to track pupil progress and set stretching targets
Develop and implement curriculum plans that deliver an appropriate, challenging, and interesting academic programme
Use new and emerging technologies to enhance and extend the learning experience of pupils
Promote and model good relationships with parents and carers based on genuine partnerships
Perform all playground duties on time and safeguard pupils with due diligence
Follow all health and safety rules and ensure a safe learning environment at all times
A PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification is required. A minimum of two years of school experience as a Primary Class Teacher is essential. Strong oral and written communication skills in English must be demonstrated. A collaborative team player attitude and excellent interpersonal skills are expected. Proven behaviour management abilities are needed. A clean criminal background check covering the previous ten years of employment history will be required. An online due diligence search will also be completed.
The current market salary for a Primary Class Teacher in Abu Dhabi ranges from 11,000 to 14,000 AED per month depending on experience and qualifications. A generous housing allowance or furnished accommodation is provided by the school. Annual flight tickets home, comprehensive health insurance, and visa sponsorship for the employee are also included.
