Primary Performing Arts Teacher – GEMS World Academy, Abu Dhabi
GEMS World Academy in Abu Dhabi is seeking a creative Primary Performing Arts Teacher to inspire young learners through drama, dance and music. This role is perfect for a versatile performing arts educator who can foster creativity, confidence and self-expression in primary-aged children.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Performing Arts (drama, dance, music) across primary year groups within the IB PYP framework
- Plan and deliver engaging, inquiry-based performing arts lessons
- Direct primary school productions, assemblies and showcase events
- Integrate performing arts with PYP units of inquiry and transdisciplinary themes
- Run extra-curricular performing arts clubs and workshops
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Performing Arts, Drama, Dance, Music or Education
- PGCE, QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Minimum 2 years of experience teaching performing arts at primary level
- Experience with IB PYP is highly desirable
- Ability to direct performances and manage stage productions
Salary and Benefits
- Tax-free salary: AED 12,000 – 17,000 per month
