Responsibilities of Primary Class Teachers

• Working alongside fellow teachers to plan engaging lessons that meet requirements of the curriculum.
• Liaising with colleagues and working flexibly.
• Working with parents to ensure the happiness and best academic outcomes for all children.
• Working cooperatively with curriculum support staff (where applicable) to support children’s development.
• Planning, preparing and presenting sessions that cater for the needs of the whole ability range within the class.
• Motivating pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative teaching.
• Observing and assessing children in line with school assessments.
• Being reflective of the classroom provision, sessions taught, progress made, and adjusting environment, planning and curriculum to reflect this.

Job Requirements

The requirements for the job role of Primary Class Teachers are as under:

• A BSc/BA with certified teaching qualification such as PGCE/PGDE, with Qualified Teacher Status.
• Minimum 3 years experience in similar role.
• Previous experience in an international school is preferred.
• Experience coving all primary subjects.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• A creative and enthusiastic approach both in and out of the classroom.
• An excellent team player both within the department and across phases.
• Excellent IT and interpersonal communication skills to work closely with students and parents.
• Good command of English.
