GEMS Metropole School Motor City is presently recruiting suitably qualified and skilled candidate for the role of Primary Assistant Head. The selected candidate is responsible to support the in creating a purposeful, caring, learning environment for children. Inspire creative, mindful learners, fostering diversity, collaboration, and success. Expectations as a Senior Leader, you will articulate a vision for the year group within the school’s ethos, contribute to planning and resource management, uphold high standards, and collaborate in day to day school operations. Be accountable to to the Head of Primary / Vice Principal , and contribute to the Performance Development Program.

Responsibilities of Primary Assistant Head

• Provide leadership and support to primary phase teachers within their curriculum area(s).
• Oversee and contribute to the development and implementation of the school’s vision, mission, and values within the primary phase.
• Manage and lead a team of teachers, effectively delegating tasks and offering mentorship.
• Lead professional development opportunities for primary phase staff.
• Monitor and evaluate teacher performance and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to the creation and implementation of school policies and procedures related to the primary phase.

Job Requirements

The requirements for the job role of Primary Assistant Head are as under:

• Master’s degree in Education or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ teaching experience in a primary school setting.
