Job Description

The GEMS School of Research and Innovation in Dubai is looking for a teacher for August 2025. The school is searching for a full-time Pre-Prep Class Teacher who is certified and loves working with kids. The job is to teach young children from Foundation Stage to Year 4, with an emphasis on building their academic skills, creativity, and early cognitive skills. It is better if you have experience teaching young children. A background in the British curriculum and a strong interest in tech-supported learning will be beneficial. Responsibilities

  • Use a fun and age-appropriate way to teach Foundation Stage to Year 4 students.
  • Use current tools and technology for learning to make teachings more personal.
  • Create a loving and inclusive classroom setting
  • Monitor student development and communicate findings for employees and parents.
  • Create lessons that strengthen the basic principles of science, mathematics, reading and writing.
  • Work closely with other teachers to exchange material and techniques.
    Include computer, arts and physical education in your lessons.
  • Participate in training sessions and staff meetings.
  • To promote the culture of curiosity, simplicity and compatibility.
  • Keep the latest teaching methods.
  • Stay for speed with the latest teaching techniques
  • Maintain lesson plans and student reports
  • Help arrange school events and field excursions
  • Uphold school principles, safeguarding policies, and teaching standards
  • Contribute to co-curricular programs and clubs
  • Support students emotionally and socially in their early years

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelor’s in Education (B.Ed) or a degree with PGCE/PGDE.
  • A Master’s qualification is considered an asset.

Experience

  • At least 2 years of experience in early years or primary education
  • Experience with British curriculum preferred

Skills

  • Ability to adapt lessons for different learning styles
  • Strong classroom organization and planning skills
  • Confidence with digital learning tools
  • Good communication with students and parents
  • Patience and empathy working with young learners
  • A collaborative and team-oriented mindset

Knowledge

  • Familiarity with FS to Year 4 frameworks
  • Understanding of student-centered teaching methods

  • Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
  • Strong grasp of literacy and numeracy foundations
