Responsibilities of Power BI Developer

• Develop interactive dashboards, reports, and data visualizations using Power BI.
• Gather requirements from stakeholders and translate them into effective visualizations that address business needs.
• Design and implement data models to support Power BI solutions, including data cleansing, transformation, and aggregation.
• Integrate data from multiple sources into Power BI datasets, ensuring data accuracy and consistency.
• Optimize performance and usability of Power BI solutions through data modelling, query optimization, and efficient visualization design.
• Collaborate with data engineers and analysts to understand data sources and business requirements.
• Provide training and support to users on Power BI functionality and best practices.
• Stay updated on the latest features and capabilities of Power BI and recommend enhancements to existing solutions.
• Participate in the development and implementation of data governance and security policies for Power BI solutions.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of Power BI solutions with organizational goals and objectives.

Requirements for Role of Power BI Developer

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in developing Power BI solutions, including creating dashboards, reports, and data visualizations.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, or MySQL.
• Prior Google big Query experience is must.
