Postdoctoral Fellow MBRU Dubai

Mohammed Bin Rashid University of Medicine and Health Sciences is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Fellow with experience in asthma and/or other respiratory diseases to join their dynamic research team. Responsibilities of Postdoctoral Fellow

• Design and execute experiments to investigate the molecular mechanisms underlying asthma and respiratory diseases.
• Utilize advanced techniques in cell biology, immunology, and molecular biology to characterize disease pathways and identify potential therapeutic targets.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data, and communicate findings through presentations, publications, and grant proposals.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to integrate findings into broader research initiatives.
• Stay abreast of recent developments in the field and contribute to the intellectual environment of the research group.

Job Requirements of Postdoctoral Fellow

• Ph.D. in a relevant field (e.g., Immunology or Molecular Biology) with a strong background in asthma or respiratory diseases.
• 2 year proven experience in experimental design, execution, and data analysis.
• Experience in training and mentoring graduate students, including supervision of research projects and assisting with professional development.
• Experience with animal models of asthma or respiratory diseases.
• Prior experience in grant writing and securing research funding.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• Proficiency in a variety of laboratory techniques, including cell culture, flow cytometry, immunohistochemistry, and molecular assays.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, with a track record of presenting research findings at scientific meetings and publishing in peer reviewed journals.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team oriented environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Familiarity with bioinformatics tools and data analysis pipelines.
