Khalifa University (KU) is in search of a highly motivated Post Doctoral Fellow to lead research on nanoparticle (NP) carriers. These carriers aim to precisely deliver anti cancer drugs to tumor sites, mitigating the indiscriminate impact of conventional chemotherapy on both cancerous and normal cells. The candidate will employ a multi scale modeling approach to accurately predict the transport of nanoparticles in human blood, as well as simulate their attachment to cancer cells and subsequent drug release. Expertise in Molecular Dynamics, Dissipative Particle Dynamics, Lattice Boltzmann with immersed boundary method, or discrete element method is required, and familiarity with Lagrangian Eulerian methods, including PIC, is considered and advantage. Preferably, candidates should have prior experience with the LAMMPS opensource package or similar simulation tools, and proficiency in FORTRAN and C languages to modify existing codes at Khalifa University.
