American Hospital Dubai is seeking a responsible and dedicated Porter to join them at Jumeirah Clinic. This job opening was announced by the hospital on January 11, 2024 under the ID 1968. The role person will assist in the overall FMD services with a particular focus on delivery and collection of water bottles all over the hospital and transfer and relocation of furniture and other engineering items.

Responsibilities of Porter

• Check and replace empty water bottles in the entire hospital.
• Check leaking water dispensers and report to the concern Supervisors for replacement.
• Transport furniture/equipment for any relocation requested.
• Delivery/collects documents from various departments as deemed necessary.
• Assist in receiving materials in engineering whenever is appropriate.
• Escort FMD visitors and accurately direct to the right personnel as required/requested for any official/business purposes.
• Assist for any movement of heavy items during maintenance.
• Maintain accurate knowledge of scheduled functions within the hospital.
• Assist the Shift Plant Operator for any urgency/emergency request in the Auditoriums set up.
• Able to prioritize primary & secondary duties.
• To understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & regulations established in the Employee hand book, Departmental Policies and AHD policies and procedures as well.
• Remain and maintain to be in the vicinity of the department if no assigned work have to be done.
• Ensure confidentiality of the hospital.
• Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of all work areas rectify any deficiencies.
• Perform other duties as directed.

Role Requirements

Following is the selection criteria for the role of Porter at AHD:

• High School Graduate.
• Previous Hospital experiences is an advantage.
• Experience inhospitality industry in a similar position.
• Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
