Requirements for Plumbing Technician at Bab Al Shams Desert Resort

1. Education & Certification

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Completion of a plumbing training program (community college, trade school, or apprenticeship).
  • Valid plumbing certification/licenses (if required by UAE/Dubai regulations).

2. Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of plumbing experience, preferably in a 5-star hotel or luxury resort.
  • Hands-on expertise in repairing pipes, drains, dishwashers, and water supply systems.
  • Familiarity with building codes, safety standards, and plumbing best practices.

3. Physical & Technical Skills

  • Ability to lift heavy tools/materials (wrenches, pipes, appliances).
  • Comfortable working in tight spaces, standing for long hours, or crouching.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, measurement instruments, and pipe-cutting equipment.

4. Personal Attributes

  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Team player who collaborates well with contractors and other technicians.
  • Works effectively under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Friendly, professional demeanor (guest-facing interactions may occur).

5. Additional Preferences

  • Experience with underground piping systems or sewage maintenance (a plus).
