Duties of Planning Engineer

• Develop the Project execution plan considering the proper engineering techniques and milestone sequences for the Project.
• Set targets for activities based on each activity of a Project and ensure it meets DM’s specifications and requirements.
• Make estimations for timescales and costs using specialized design software packages (Primavera).
• Monitoring “day-to-day” work progress for the Project and provide accurate weekly and monthly reports by swiftly communicating potential progress delays or project slippages.
• Tracking and analyzing field results is another key responsibility.
• Continually makes comparisons between planned progress and actual progress and reports any differences to their lead project manager.
• Provides Planning focal point for specific project scopes.
• Monitor and control planning activities through all phases of project lifecycle.
• To develop and manage project schedules to ensure efficient and timely completion of construction or engineering projects.
• Monitor overall project progress status, achievement of major milestones, and analyze project performance in relation to planned performance.
• Attend internal project progress and performance status meetings as required.
• Provide guidance and support to subordinate project controls planning staff as required.
• Provide copies of project plans and schedules in accordance with project reporting requirements.
• Provide copies of project progress and performance status reports in accordance with project reporting requirements.
• Produce and issue updates to project plans, schedules and project manpower requirements.

Requirements of Planning Engineer

The eligibility requirements for role of Planning Engineer are as under:

• Must have relevant degree from recognized university.
• Work experience of not less than 10 years in design and construction programing of similar projects.
• Must have civil engineering background with a knowledge.
