Duncan & Ross presently has an opening for qualified and competent candidates for the role of a Planning Engineer in Abu Dhabi.The successful candidate will be responsible to help engineering teams to deliver projects on schedule. They develop strategies, determine material and labor costs, monitor crew performance, ensure health and safety regulations are obeyed, and that communications channels are open.
Responsibilities of A Planning Engineer
- Collaborate with the EHS Team, Client, and Contractor to examine potential health and safety issues and assist with controls.
- Reviewing contractor performance and the Effectiveness of control against applicable laws, regulations, and district requirements.
- Developing HSE reports such as site safety inspection report, monthly & weekly statistical report, training report, incident/accident report etc.
- Conducting audit to ensure all safety requirements are in place and implemented according to Plan.
- Reviewing method statement, HSE Documents and risk assessment for every activity prior to work commencement .
- Ability to deliver safety practices to ensure zero injury, zero risk, and zero harm
- Assisting the project team in the Risk Management process (i.e. HAZID, Risk Assessment and HAZOP, etc.).
Job Requirements
The job requirements for role of a Planning Engineer are as under:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering/Health & Safety/Environmental Management from a recognized University;
- Membership of internationally recognized Safety Association – NEBOSH.
- Minimum 5 -7 years of experience in construction safety as construction projects.
