Responsibilities of PICU Specialist

• Provide high-quality medical care to critically ill pediatric patients in the PICU.
• Collaborate with other medical specialists and departments to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Work closely with multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals within the PICU.
• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and research activities in PICU.
• Provide expert medical advice, lead a team of healthcare professionals, and contribute to the continuous improvement of pediatric care services.

Qualifications & Requirements

Following is the eligibility criteria for the role of PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit) Specialist at SRH:

•  Completion of M.D. and residency program in Pediatrics.
• Board certification / fulfilling DOH requirements for Pediatrics and/or PICU specialization.
• 2 years in Pediatrics post qualification.

• Must have ability to assess patients’ condition with critical thinking ability.
• Demonstrates ability to establish and maintain professional relationships with patients, families, and other members of health care teams.
• Exceptional attention to details and analytical skills.
• Administration of medication and manage clinical risks.
• English and Arabic.
