Import/Export industry is currently seeking detail oriented and efficient individuals to join their team as Picking and Packaging Specialist. This role is essential in ensuring accurate and timely fulfillment of customer orders.

Responsibilities of Picking and Packaging Specialist

Pick items from warehouse shelves or storage areas based on customer orders and packing slips, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
Pack items securely and appropriately for shipping, using packaging materials and techniques to prevent damage and ensure product integrity during transit.
Verify product quantities, sizes, and specifications against order documentation to ensure completeness and accuracy of shipments.
Label packages with shipping information, tracking numbers, and other required documentation, following company procedures and guidelines.
Assist with inventory management tasks, including stock rotation, cycle counting, and reconciliation of discrepancies, to maintain accurate inventory levels.
Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) or order processing software to track orders, update inventory records, and generate shipping labels and documentation.
Collaborate with warehouse team members and supervisors to prioritize orders, coordinate workflows, and meet daily shipping deadlines.
Follow safety protocols and guidelines for handling and storage of products, including proper use of equipment, lifting techniques, and hazardous materials handling procedures.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of work areas, including packing stations, shipping areas, and storage shelves, to ensure a safe and efficient work environment.
Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and other departments to address issues, provide updates, and ensure smooth operations.

Requirements of Picking and Packaging Specialist

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in warehouse operations or logistics is a plus.
Physical stamina and ability to lift and move boxes.
Previous experience of 1-2 years in picking, packing, shipping, or warehouse operations preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

Ability to read and interpret packing slips, shipping labels, and order documentation to ensure accurate fulfillment of customer orders.
Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks with accuracy and efficiency in a fast paced environment.
Good communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with team members to achieve common goals.
Basic computer skills and familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) or order processing software preferred.
