Job Description

Melodica Music Academy is hiring a piano teacher in Dubai. If you’re living in the UAE and love teaching music, especially piano, this could be for you. You’d be working with students who are just starting out and also some who are preparing for exams or performances. They’re looking for someone who’s flexible, friendly, and knows how to keep lessons fun but still focused. Full-time job, on-site. If you can start soon, that’s even better. Experience matters, so having taught before (even in private settings) helps. Music qualification is preferred too. The role’s more than just teaching it’s being part of a busy and creative place.

Melodica Music Academy started back in 2013. A pop singer of the founder – Afashin Jafri – and now he found branches in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Sharjah. They teach music and dances, focusing on helping students step by step. Piano, guitar, violin, vocal -you mention it, they probably learn it. There is a popular name in UAE here. The environment is professional but energetic. Students range from little kids to adults.

Responsibilities

  • Teach students at all levels.
  • Prep them for exams or shows.
  • Keep track of how they’re doing.
  • Plan lessons based on student goals.
  • Use different methods depending on age or level.
  • Work with other instructors when needed.

Requirements and Qualifications

Education

Diploma or degree in music is good to have, not a must but it helps. ABRSM, Trinity, or any known board certification is also okay.

Experience

  • 1 to 2 years of teaching piano helps.
  • Doesn’t need to be from a school private lessons count too.

Skills

  • Comfortable with kids and adults.
  • Can adjust teaching style based on student.
  • Know basic and advanced piano theory.
  • Good at explaining things clearly.
  • Able to keep students motivated.
  • Know how to handle a class or one-on-one sessions.

Knowledge

  • Music reading and performance prep.
  • Different genres and teaching styles.
  • How to prepare students for music exams.
  • Using apps or digital tools for learning.
  • How to work in a team with other teachers.
  • Understanding what works best for each student.
