Job Description

A Physiotherapy Practitioner at Dubai Academic Health Corporation will assess and evaluate the patient using various techniques and methods in order to develop functional diagnosis. The role holder will plan and monitor rehabilitative care. The selected applicant will join Dubai Hospital to perform his / her duties.

Responsibilities of Physiotherapy Practitioner

  • Implement therapeutic techniques and procedures as per the scope of the specialty/competency that aim into functional rehabilitation.
  • Manage case load efficiently & effectively and take all precautions to observe indications and contraindications.
  • Maintain documentation records and all statistical information that reflect care delivery as per the standards and policies of the facility.
  • Communicate with referral sources , team members and all professionals aiming at maximizing rehabilitation outcomes.
  • Provide on-call duty after working hours, during public holidays and cover absent staff when required.
  • Provide home care when required.
  • Participate in quality development activities , team meetings / rounds as required.
  • Supervise rehabilitation aide & technicians.

Qualifications & Experience

Following is the desired criteria for the role of Physiotherapy Practitioner 2 at Dubai Health:

  • Bachelor Degree in related specialty.
  • 3 years of experience.

Knowledge & Job Skills

  • Knowledge of musculoskeletal physiotherapy, neurological physiotherapy, paediatric physiotherapy and pre and post-operative rehabilitation, relevant procedures and current best practices.
  • Good understanding of physiotherapy and rehabilitation relevant regulations.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to communicate and relay messages to patients in a culturally sensitive manner.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English.
