The Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation Department at Sheikh Shakhbout Medical City (SSMC) is actively seeking a suitably qualified and experienced candidate for the role of Physiotherapist. Overview of Job of A Physiotherapist

Responsible for providing safe, effective and comprehensive therapy in a Burns Intensive Care Unit (inpatients).

Your Duties As A physiotherapist

• Facilitates the delivery of high standard of clinical care of patients in the designated unit.
• Maintains up to date clinical and professional knowledge.
• Provide a well-developed level of informed professional knowledge according to organizational requirements (e.g. minimum of CPD / CME hours per year required for re-licensing).
• Work towards clinical specialization in burns rehabilitation.
• Maintains clinical competency and works towards specialist proficiency in management of the burns patient alongside senior therapists.
• Willingness to assist in the facilitation of staff/intern/student development in the specialist area.
• Contributes to the sustainable implementation of effective and efficient business and clinical practice and patient satisfaction for the designated area.
• Pro-active clinical and environmental risk identification.
• Assists burns senior/supervisor with maintenance of sufficient inventory of material supplies & equipment for duties.
• Complies with all safety, health and quality control programs and procedures as applicable.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma from an accredited institution in Physiotherapy (minimum three years course duration).

Or

• Direct entry to a recognized program with the attainment of an MSc degree in Physiotherapy.

Experience Required

• Minimum of 3 years of working experience in Acute Inpatient Care including minimum of 1 year experience in an ICU setting.
• Experience with the adult and pediatric patient.

Registration/License Required

• Valid Registration/license/membership from Department of Health, UAE or other equivalent authority in UAE or home/ working country.

Experience/License Desired

• Department of Health (DOH) license with title as a Physiotherapist.
• Experience as a Physiotherapist in Acute Burns Unit or Sub Acute Burns Rehabilitation.
