About the Role
The Physiotherapist at SSMC is responsible for providing safe, effective, evidence-based, and comprehensive physiotherapy services across assigned clinical units. Furthermore, the role involves assisting senior physiotherapists to ensure efficient service delivery and contributing to strategic and quality improvement plans. Moreover, the successful candidate will facilitate high standards of specialized clinical care and collaborate with multidisciplinary rehabilitation teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver evidence-based physiotherapy assessment, treatment planning, and goal setting for patients
- Assist the senior physiotherapist to ensure efficient and effective service delivery in assigned units
- Contribute to the implementation of strategic, quality, and patient safety plans for clinical practice
- Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, and care providers to maximize rehabilitative potential
- Evaluate and re-evaluate patient outcomes with appropriate progression and discharge planning
- Maintain and develop up-to-date clinical and professional knowledge according to organizational requirements
- Facilitate the delivery of high standard specialized clinical care in designated units
- Support clinical and environmental risk identification proactively across assigned areas
- Develop effective teaching skills for facilitation of interns and students
- Assist with maintenance of sufficient inventory of supplies and equipment for clinical duties
Requirements
- BSc in Physiotherapy or Graduate Diploma in Physiotherapy (minimum 3-year syllabus) from an accredited institution
- Current National License with eligibility for DOH licensure in the UAE
- Minimum 2 years post-graduate experience as a Physiotherapist in a large hospital setting
- Experience with patients in acute care, ICU, medical/surgical, or rehabilitation facilities
- Master’s in Rehabilitation Services or related clinical MSc preferred (reduces experience requirement by 1 year)
- Basic Life Support, Infection Control, and Fire Safety competencies
- Strong communication and patient motivation skills
