About the Role

The Physiotherapist at Reem Hospital will provide physiotherapy services to patients who may have physical difficulties resulting from illness, injury, disability, or ageing. Furthermore, the role involves developing and implementing treatment programmes using manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and electrotherapy techniques. Moreover, the successful candidate will carry a designated clinical caseload including complex patients and ensure the delivery of international standards of care in physiotherapy services.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of patients including assessment, treatment, and intervention services for both inpatients and outpatients.
• Develop and implement individualised treatment plans using evidence-based physiotherapy practices and recognised outcome measures.
• Coordinate with the multidisciplinary team regarding equipment recommendations and discharge planning for patients.
• Provide individual patient equipment such as walking aids, splints, and supports with due regard to safety guidelines.
• Support junior staff through advising, guiding, and teaching in the assessment and management of patients.
• Contribute to developing therapy service standards and ensure they are consistently met across departments.
• Participate in quality management activities, hospital audit programmes, and the accreditation process.
• Lead departmental and interdepartmental educational activities consistent with service delivery goals.
• Monitor key performance indicators and contribute to developing action plans for service improvement.
• Promote positive public relations with patients, peers, medical staff, and members of the general public.

Requirements

• BSc in Physiotherapy or Physical Therapy from a recognised institution.
• Not less than 3 years of post-graduate experience as a Physiotherapist in a large hospital or rehabilitation setting.
• Valid and current physiotherapy licensure from the home country along with BLS certification.
• Postgraduate studies in a specific sub-specialty are preferred but not mandatory.
• International accreditation experience is an advantage for candidates applying for this role.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Fluent in both written and spoken English with the ability to relate to people from different cultural backgrounds.
