Purpose of Physiotherapist

Responsible for providing direct and quality patient care. The incumbent will assess and reassess patient’s condition, establish treatment plan and perform therapeutic exercises / techniques to restore patient’s health.

Duties of a Physiotherapist

• Promote patient’s physical wellness by providing process care.
• Assistant patient in order to improve his ability to move.
• Take steps to reduce and prevent pain through exercises and other techniques.
• Identify the mode of treatment that is suitable for the patient.
• Maintain good professional relationships with the colleagues in a multidisciplinary team.
• Take measures to prevent disability and enable and restore function of patients body part.
• Develop fitness oriented programs for individual patients so as to maintain a healthier and more active lifestyle.
• Follow the clinical policy and procedures of the Department.
• Provide support and guidance to junior Physiotherapists, Physiotherapy Assistant, Nurses, and other staff.

Qualification & Experience

• Candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy.
• 4-6 years of experience as a physical therapist, preferably in the homecare setting.
• Current license of practice in country of origin or country point of hire and/or Dubai Health Authority (DHA), United Arab Emirates.

Knowledge & Skills

• Knowledge of various forms of physical therapy (e.g. manipulation, massage therapy, postural therapy) and equipment-based therapy are mandatory in this role.
• Excellent diagnostic skills.
• Competent and team worker.
