About the Role
As a Physical Education Teacher at Yasmina American School, you will create a climate conducive to outstanding learning and teaching while setting tasks that challenge students and maintain high levels of interest. Furthermore, you will plan, prepare, and deliver engaging PE lessons from KG to Grade 8, making effective use of assessment data to inform planning and ensure differentiated learning matched to student needs. The successful candidate will also coach and lead high-level sports teams while contributing to the school’s extra-curricular programme.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, prepare, and deliver outstanding Physical Education lessons across KG to Grade 8
- Set clear teaching objectives and assess student progress systematically
- Create an effective learning environment that maintains pace, motivation, and challenge
- Use performance data to inform planning and deliver differentiated learning
- Coach and lead high-level sports teams in volleyball, basketball, and athletics
- Mark, monitor, and record student work while setting targets for progress
- Contribute to extra-curricular activities and school sporting events
- Liaise effectively with parents and prepare informative progress reports
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field with a teaching qualification
- Minimum of 2 years experience in PE from KG to Grade 8 is desirable
- Excellent knowledge of volleyball, basketball, and athletics
- Experience in coaching and leading high-level sports teams
- Passion for teaching and commitment to educating the whole child
- Clean enhanced DBS check or equivalent police clearance
