About the Role

As a Physical Education Teacher at Bateen World Academy, you will be responsible for planning and delivering outstanding PE lessons across the ability range. Furthermore, you will create an engaging learning climate that inspires students to achieve their best in physical education and sport. Moreover, the role involves contributing to the school’s CAS Programme, leading after-school activities, and supporting students as an Academic Mentor. This position commences in August 2026 for the 2026-2027 academic year.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver outstanding Physical Education lessons in line with the school’s Teaching and Learning Policy
• Identify and meet the needs of SEN, EAL, and Gifted and Talented students through differentiation
• Make effective use of assessment for learning and performance data to inform planning
• Mark students’ work regularly and set targets for progress in accordance with school policy
• Maintain discipline in accordance with the school’s Behaviour for Learning Policy
• Contribute to the school’s CAS Programme by leading or supporting after-school activities each term
• Serve as an Academic Mentor and Extended Essay Supervisor to Year 12 and 13 students
• Attend and support parent and student events and prepare informative reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education or related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification
• Minimum 2 years of PE teaching experience
• Experience working in more than one international school
• Experience teaching IB and IGCSE programmes is preferred
• Knowledge of UAE Ministry of Education and ADEK regulations
• Commitment to the school’s vision and IB Philosophy and Mission Statement
• A clean enhanced DBS check or police clearance
