Job Description

University of Khorfakkan is currently seeking suitable candidate for position of PhD Holders Sociology. The job was announced by the university on February 12, 2024. Candidate desirous for the role should submit their application now.

Responsibilities of PhD Holders Sociology

Key responsibilities

  • Teaching courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
  • Contribute to research activities and initiate research projects that lead to effective publications in highly ranked journals and patents.
  • Supervising research projects and university theses for postgraduate students (Master’s/PhD).
  • Contributing to the development of courses and programs (at the undergraduate and graduate levels) offered by the college.
  • Participate in academic accreditation processes, especially related to the requirements of the Academic Accreditation Committee in the United Arab Emirates.
  • Perform all administrative tasks assigned by the programme/department, college and university.
  • Participate effectively in community service initiatives at the event level or provide advisory services.
  • Guiding, advising and academically supervising students.

Major Responsibilities

Job Requirements

The requirements for the job role of of PhD Holders Sociology are as under:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Sociology.
  • Master of Arts Sociology.
  • Doctorate in Sociology or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 year experience in similar role.
