About the Role

Muna British Academy in Abu Dhabi is seeking an outstanding Phase Leader to join the school for the academic year 2026/2027. Additionally, this leadership position involves developing and implementing policies and practices that reflect the school’s vision and commitment to high standards of achievement. Key Responsibilities

As Phase Leader, you will establish, monitor, and evaluate short, medium, and long-term plans for the development of your department. Moreover, you will use data effectively to identify underachieving students and create action plans to support them. In addition, you will ensure appropriate schemes of work are developed and regularly reviewed for all year groups, including provision for SEN, gifted and talented, and EAL students. Furthermore, you will evaluate the quality of teaching and learning, performance manage your team, and maintain efficient control of the department’s resource and capital expenditure budgets. You will also set expectations for staff regarding standards of achievement and the quality of teaching and learning.

Requirements and Qualifications

The ideal candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in a related subject with PGCE or equivalent teaching qualification. Additionally, a minimum of six years of teaching experience with experience of the UK curriculum is required. Moreover, candidates should demonstrate leadership skills at various levels and the ability to work collaboratively in a team. Furthermore, knowledge of current developments in education, child protection, and safeguarding is essential, along with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. Experience of working in more than one international school is highly valued.
