Health & Medical Services Co. is currently seeking an experienced Pharmacy Insurance Coordinator to join their team in Dubai. This job opportunity was announced by the company on January 31, 2024 and is now open for applications. This person will work in company’s 24/7 Pharmacy to obtain the necessary insurance approvals on a timely basis.
Responsibilities of Pharmacy Insurance Coordinator
- Coordination with following appropriate personnel to ensure that all the formalities as agreed with the insurance companies are followed.
- Minimize objections from them and delays in clarifications to the insurance companies: Patient Relations, Nursing, Physicians.
- Monitoring and follow up on prior E- authorization for outpatient/inpatient services.
- Takes approval for prescriptions from Outpatient clinics.
- Sends approval and follow up for E-claim prescriptions.
- Works under the supervision of the immediate manager.
- Monitors the pending list on a daily basis.
- Makes accurate, thorough and appropriate work a priority.
- Informs and influences others by clear, concise expression of ideas and information in verbal and written as appropriate.
- E-claims follow-up within 48 hours.
- Complaints feedback to be handled within 24 hours.
- Email handling within 24 hours.
- Anticipates and sets priorities to support department needs and follow policies and procedures for achieving them.
- Makes accurate, thorough and appropriate work a priority.
- Requests for out-patient to be send out within the same day.
- Performs tasks assigned from time to time.
Qualification & Experience
To qualify for the role of Pharmacy Insurance Coordinator, you must have the following:
- Pharmacy diploma or equivalent.
- 5-8 years experience in Outpatient Pharmacy field.
Knowledge & Skills
- Complete knowledge of insurance policies and protocols.
- Quantity /Organizational Skills.
- Ability to identify and analyze problems, take action to resolve, apply sound judgment and take responsibility for their resolution
