Purpose of A Pharmacy Clerk

To ensure sufficient store supplies are available for patient care.

Duties of A Pharmacy Clerk

• To ensure efficient distribution of medical consumables to Inpatient and Outpatient units according to requisitions to ensure optimal patient care and safety.
• Monitor stock levels and ensure sufficient supply is available and perform monthly cycle counts to maintain inventory accuracy.
• Manage the stock receiving process for the business unit store, including unpacking and organizing of stock as per company standard.
• To resolve any stock queries and concerns raised by internal stakeholders.
• To manage the overall cleanliness of the store.

Qualification & Experience

• Secondary school qualification (Grade 12).
• Relevant 2 years of store experience in a healthcare setting.

Knowledge and Skills Desired

• Computer literacy and proficiency in MS Office applications.
• Knowledge of medical consumables.
• Medical terminology.
• Numerical literacy.
• Stock taking principles and procedures.
