Perioperative Manager at King’s College Hospital London in Dubai Hills, Dubai, UAE will be reporting to the Deputy Chief Nursing Officer Critical Care, Emergency and Theatre Services (DCNO), the Perioperative Manager provides high-level leadership and organization to ensure that all clinical and operational processes are developed and implemented within all perioperative services (Operating Theatre, Cath Lab, Endoscopy, PACU and Day Care). As an integral member of the King’s College Hospital London (KCH) senior leadership team, candidate is responsible for providing professional management support to the perioperative services, demonstrating a high level of organizational ability and leadership and ensuring that processes are in place, and are robustly applied, to ensure the effective and efficient delivery and achievement of all operational, quality and financial requirements. This is a Senior level full time job. And salary can range between 15000-30000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Perioperative Manager

• Provide visible, accessible and constructive leadership to the Perioperative Service.
• Lead and manage the service with the theatre coordinators whilst sustaining effective working relationships with consultant medical staff. And the nursing team ensuring that the operational requirements of the service are effectively manage and coordinated.
• To develop patient focus services, identifying future financial, capital & workforce requirements & ensuring that contractual and performance targets are meet.
• To work with clinical colleagues to establish and monitor protocols of care provision to deliver efficient and effective care pathways which improve patient outcomes and reduce lengths of stay.
• Actively contribute and lead service and other meetings, working co-operatively with clinicians within the service.
• To continually question and challenge the status quo looking for new and innovative ways to improve service delivery. To make the most effective use of resources and ensure services are patient-focus.
• Support the development of and promote the KCH mission, values, aims and objectives.
• Promote evidence-based, visible, compassionate leadership, acting as a role model for best practice.

• Maximize workforce efficiencies through the implementation of cost-effective yet safe workforce structures and flexible rostering practices that provide the ability to rapidly adapt to demand fluctuations.
• Ensure that the perioperative service has in place effective arrangements for staff appraisal objective setting, evaluation, mandatory training & personal development.

Requirements for Role of Perioperative Manager

• UAE Medical Health Authority License (DHA)
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing or Degree in Nursing (minimum two years course duration). And Registration as a Registered Nurse from Canada, USA, UK, Ireland, South Africa, New Zealand and Australia.
• Relevant Masters level studies desirable.
• 3–5 years of working experience in a hospital or similar setting and position.
• Has had at least 5 years recent experience of managing a team of Nurses.
• Previous experience in leading change in a clinical environment.
• 3+ years of experience in Management
