GMG currently has a job opening for suitably qualify and experience candidate for the position of a People Specialist in Dubai. The selected candidate will be responsible to provide necessary administrative services to GMG employees. Desirous candidates fulfilling under mention criteria are encourage to submit their applications.

Duties of People Specialist

Core Responsibilities

  • Provides HR services to GMG employees and serves as a point of contact for HR renewal and tasks.
  • Facilitates employee requests on an on-going basis.
  • Prepares new visas / visa renewals / visa cancellation applications and sends to Group Government Relations Department for timely processing of the same.
  • Reviews guidelines and agreement, for filing of all related documents to staff file on proper schedule.
  • Responds to employee enquiries in a timely manner to deliver a high standard of internal customer service.
  • Maintains and updates employee records, including personnel status updates, terminations and new hires, in line with the defined filing and archiving guidelines.

Self Management

  • Define performance goals at the start of the year in discussion with the reporting manager.
  • Ensure that the goals are achieve during the year.
  • Takes ownership of learning agenda by identifying development needs in consultation with the manager and agreeing on the individual development plan which goes beyond just training and development.
  • Keeps abreast of professional developments, new techniques and current issues through continued education and professional growth.
  • Building relationships with employees and understanding their needs and requirements.

Requirements for Role People Specialist

  • High School/ Diploma.
  • A Bachelor’s degree in any discipline is a plus.
  • A minimum of 1-3 years of experience.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Explain complex HR policies, provide feedback, and resolve conflict.
  • Familiarity with HR software.
  • Being able to analyze HR data to identify trends and make informed decisions.
