University of Wollongong is currently seeking qualified and competent candidates for the role of People & Culture Business Partner & Talent Acquisition Lead in Dubai. The successful candidate wil be responsible for delivery of a full range of P&C services and will take lead of the Talent Acquisition and Employee onboarding. The position holder will work along with the Head of P&C to design and implement P&C policies and procedures relating to all functional areas of P&C such as benefits administration, employee relations, training, performance management, onboarding, policy implementation, recruitment, and employment law compliance.

Duties of A People & Culture Business Partner & Talent Acquisition Lead

Talent Acquisition and Onboarding:

  • Assist in developing and implement the organisation’s recruitment strategy to attract and hire top talent.
  • Collaborate with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and priorities.
  • Oversee the sourcing and recruitment process, utilising various channels to build a strong candidate pipeline.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitor practices.
  • Ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Implement and enhance onboarding programs to facilitate smooth integration of new hires.
  • Develop and maintain employer brand, both internally and externally.
  • Track and analyse recruitment metrics to measure the effectiveness of talent acquisition efforts.
  • Work closely with the Head of People and Culture and the hiring managers to understand workforce planning needs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance recruitment process.

Employee Relations:

  • Serve as a point of contact for employees, providing guidance on HR policies, procedures and best practices.
  • Address employee inquiries, concerns and conflicts, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.

Advisory Role:

  • Provide proactive and strategic advice to all HR stakeholders.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of HR initiatives and projects.
  • Stay abreast of employment laws and regulations, ensuring HR practices comply with legal requirements.
  • Contribute to employee engagement initiatives and activities.
  • Lead or contribute to HR projects and initiatives, driving process improvements and organisational effectiveness.

Requirements for People & Culture Business Partner & Talent Acquisition Lead

The eligibility requirements for role of People & Culture Business & Talent Acquisition Lead are as under:

  • Essential: An undergraduate degree in the field of Human Resource Management or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience in Human Resource generalist role -Experience working in the UAE.
  • Intermediate to advanced experience of Enterprise-wide information Systems such Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Experience in recruitment of expatriates.
  • Desirable: Education sector experience.
  • Experience in recruitment of academic staff.

Knowledge and Skills Desired

  • Knowledge of HR processes/ Administration.
  • Awareness of the local labour law and legal compliance.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office.
  • Ability to adhere to strict deadlines which maintaining high level attention to detail.
  • Fluency in written/spoken English.
