People Advisory & Business Partnership at Mashreq Bank Dubai  is responsible for the day to day PICG support with people mandate to enhance Business and Support Functions performance through being people advocate on matters such as Employee Relations, Learning, Development Talent Acquisition, Performance Management, Rewards and overall Employee Experience. They are also responsible of ensuring effective coordination between business and functional PICG Team to facilitate business needs. The role supports and manages the relationship with Stakeholders in close coordination with Internal PICG team.

Responsibilities of People Advisory & Business Partnership

  • Support client groups in aligning business and people strategies and objectives through appropriate advisory services / interventions.
  • Work with client groups to help and achieve business objectives, by partnering with departmental leadership and collaborate with line managers and functional PICG Team to identify areas where PICG can add value and ensure effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with client groups to fully understand the key business performance issues, objectives and drivers and associate people needs for both the current and future business challenges.
  • Effectively drive performance management in coordination with functional PICG across all Client Groups.
  • Coordinate and influence the development of a performance culture through effective people management.
  • Guide senior managers on people practices, e.g. People development, playing to strengths.
  • Drive the Division/Unit culture in creating a ‘preferred’ workplace for our employees and foster an environment where employee behavior is aligned to our values.
  • Play a key role in managing complex organizational change projects with people implications.
  • Support the Workforce planning exercise and monitor Manpower Plan and ensure positions are activated as per the gaps in the Business.
  • Collaborate with the Intellectual Capital and Organizational Development team to ensure effective implementation of the L&D programs across the Client Groups.
  • Provide feedback and advice Compensation and Benefits unit on pay and related areas.
  • Ensure the right allocation, development, and retention of UAE and GCC nationals across Client Groups.
  • Collaborate with the Nationalization team in setting up Nationalization strategies in alignment with both business and functional HR.
  • Collaborate with ICOD in fulfilling all L&D requirements for the Client Groups.
  • Ensure nomination and cost approvals are effectively monitored.
  • Effectively manage the annual appraisal cycle in collaboration with functional PICG Team across.

What You’ll Do More?

  • Client Groups (Performance evaluation, Rating distribution, Increments, Bonus, Job Upgrades, Grievance handling etc.).
  • Work with ICOD Team to actively drive employee engagement across Client Groups.
  • Ensure that the Reward and Recognition Schemes, i.e. Spot reward, I Value Awards , Mashreq excellence and Extra mile are properly utilized in line with functional PICG guidelines and policies and within the allocated Budgets.
  • Ensure smooth onboarding of New Senior/GH joiners, in coordination with functional PICG Team and all other stake holders.
  • Lead the orientation sessions with the senior hires in the respective groups, specifically hires on Grade LnO.
  • Own and align organization charts of Business with approved HC plan. Also ensure all Org Charts are constantly updated to reflect any changes.
  • Ensure all staff grievances are addressed and resolved within the agreed TATs.
  • Ensure all resignations are processed as per the policy and guidelines and lead the exit interviews for all Grade L-O.
  • Maintain and present MIS reports as applicable.
  • Create the quarterly dashboards for the respective groups providing them with a holistic view on PICG mandate and support them take decisions accordingly.
  • Ensures accurate and complete system records of employees especially Job details, performance, salary & previous employment history by working closely with the PICG respective teams.
  • Provides first level support to internal stakeholders/end user and report the cause of any issues/errors in the system.
  • To actively participate and contribute to any organization wide People initiative.
  • Act as the liaison between the Bank and external stakeholders as and when required.

Requirements of People Advisory & Business Partnership

  • A professional or relevant post graduate management qualification is essential.
  • Experience and skills in evaluation of candidates to assess job and profile fit.
  • At least 15 years of relevant experience at Generalist Level both operational and strategic.
  • Experience of working with corporate group clients
  • In depth knowledge of all subjects in PICG with experience of international practices is preferred.

Skills and Knowledge Desired

  • An understanding of the business and roles in all of the banks units.
  • Excellent communication skills, creative and results driven.
  • Must have thorough knowledge of Immigration and Labor Law.
  • Able to supervise a team and achieve goals for the unit.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, influencing.

  • High level of analytical ability.
  • Knowledge of banking business/financial services industry is a distinct advantage.
  • Highly customer focused, as it demands in a service industry.
