Parts Department Manager Alfahim Abu Dhabi

Parts Department Manager at Alfahim will lead & manage parts and logistics department, monitor staff, drive sales performance, execute marketing initiatives/campaigns and optimize utilization of market potential to maximize business revenue and achieve profits with high level of customer satisfaction at every step. Oversee logistics and storage operations for Eastern Motors Company. Assume profit & loss responsibility for the department and effectively communicate with Principal.

Responsibilities of Parts Department Manager

  • Strategy: Develop annual parts & vehicle logistics department business plan and strategy.
  • Set and agree on individual business targets in order to meet the annual business plans and targets as set by the after sales department.
  • Sales Operations: Develop parts sales and distribution network.
  • Identify new customers and maintain existing customers to increase parts sales volumes and profitability.
  • Develop competitive pricing & authorize discounts to maintain customer satisfaction and department profitability.
  • Prepare & submit monthly reports detailing all key figures associated with the role for management review.
  • Vehicle Logistics: Analyze shipment volumes and prepare storage plans to ensure that proper storage capacity is available at all times.
  • Manage vehicle movements to the designated location to ensure efficient, cost effective inventory management and vehicle storage maintenance is conducted as per manufacturer standards.
  • Manage the process for completing documents and other requirements for custom clearance to ensure custom penalties are avoided and consignments are cleared.
  • Team Management: Conduct regular performance reviews, coach, counsel, provide support and necessary tools.
  • Create and ensure implementation of training plans and programs to enable team to accomplish their tasks efficiently.
  • Inventory Management: Manage group wise stock ordering of parts receipts and ensure correct document records in Autoline.
  • Ensure that adequate stock levels are maintained at all times minimize obsolete stock with the given thresholds while balancing business demand against carrying cost to maximize profits.
  • Marketing: Actively participate in the preparation of annual marketing plans (initiatives/campaigns).
  • Execute approved plans for the purpose of enhancing brand recognition, increasing sales and meeting targets.
  • Highlight issues/opportunities, recommend and implement counter strategies to ensure to maintain competitive position.

Requirements for Role of Parts Department Manager

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • 10–12 years of minimum experience in automotive industry; out of which 4 years should be on managerial level in spare parts Aftersales in a dealership company in the UAE.
