Parking Attendant

Responsibilities

  • Flash a warm smile to greet guests pulling up to the hotel entrance.
  • Valet park cars safely, zipping through Dubai’s busy streets with care.
  • Help guests with bags or items, carrying up to 30 kilos when needed.
  • Keep the driveway and hotel grounds spotless, sweeping away debris.
  • Use guests’ names when you can, making them feel like VIPs.
  • Spot anything odd, like a suspicious vehicle, and alert security fast.
  • Handle complaints smoothly, like a parking mix-up, and loop in your boss.
  • Stick to Fairmont’s high standards for courtesy and professionalism.
  • Follow safety rules, wearing PPE and watching for hazards.
  • Assist with traffic flow during busy check-in times, like conference rushes.
  • Keep an eye on parked cars to ensure they’re secure.
  • Report maintenance issues, like a faulty gate, to supervisors.
  • Stay on your feet, moving cars or helping guests all shift.
  • Work with the guest services team for seamless arrivals.
  • Pitch in on extra tasks, like guiding a group to the entrance.

Requirements

Education

High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience

Guest services experience preferred; valet or hospitality background is a plus.

Skills

  • Friendly and welcoming to make guests feel special.
  • Strong English for clear chats; a second language is a bonus.
  • Physically fit to lift heavy items and stand for hours.
  • Reliable with a valid UAE driver’s license.
  • Calm and professional in busy or tricky situations.
  • Team player for working with guest services crew.

Knowledge

  • Basics of valet parking and guest service.
  • Understanding of safety in high-traffic areas.
  • Familiar with Dubai’s driving and parking norms.
  • Awareness of luxury hotel standards.
