Duties of A Paramedic

• Provide rapid intervention and Administer life support, first-aid treatment, and other forms of prehospital emergency care to Jumeirah Guest’s and Colleagues within the SBU and immediate surroundings.
• Evaluate the patient’s condition determine the severity and type, perform preliminary diagnosis, and quickly begin appropriate medical procedures after determining the best course of treatment.
• Reassure patients and talk them through the situation and the immediate course of action/treatment.
• Advise guests of alternative methods of arranging medicine not available in the clinic.
• Administer drugs as appropriate and necessary via injection, intravenous procedures, or oral administration following the standard protocol or under the direction of a physician.
• Clearly and accurately communicate relevant information regarding patient condition and care on referral of a patient for definitive care.
• Maintain clear, accurate and updated records pertaining to patient care and actions taken, medical, healthcare and safety issues.
• Adhere to established medical protocols, Code of Conduct as well as legal guidelines and health and safety standards.
• Ensure all inventories and supplies of medicines, equipment etc are properly managed and available for treatment as necessary.
• Keep the stakeholders such as Medical Services, Security Director etc on issues pertaining to emergency medical care.

Requirements for role of A Paramedic

The eligibility requirements for role of an Paramedic are as under:

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as Paramedic.
• Firsthand experience on handling different emergency situations.

Skills Desired

• Knowledge of medical procedures, terminology, and medications.
• Computer literacy.
• Proficient in English. (Read/Write/Speak – Essential)
• Active Listening and clear and concise speaking skills.
• Physical Stamina & Attention to detail.
