Optimization Engineer/Site Auditor NAFFCO Dubai

NAFFCO presently has a job opening for suitable candidate for position of  Optimization Engineer/Site Auditor for Fire Fighting Systems. The selected candidate will be responsible for designing and optimizing fire fighting systems as per the requirements. Responsibilities of Optimization Engineer/Site Auditor

• Design and optimize fire fighting systems to meet requirements and local regulations.
• Conduct site surveys and assess existing fire protection systems to identify areas for improvement.
• Develop engineering calculations and simulations to determine optimal system design and performance.
• Collaborate with project teams to ensure fire protection systems are integrated effectively with other building systems.
• Review and approve design drawings and specifications for fire protection systems.
• Provide technical support and guidance to construction teams during installation and commissioning of fire protection systems.
• Perform system testing and commissioning to ensure compliance with design specifications and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire protection systems, including conducting root cause analyses.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in fire protection technology to recommend innovative solutions.
• Prepare technical reports and documentation to communicate findings and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
• Take initiative to improve underperforming projects in relation to operational activities, efficiency, processes, cost etc.
• Ensure implementation of processes and procedures that are cost efficient and with due regard for safety, quality and productivity.
• Carry out site inspections.
• Audit budgets submitted for projects.
• Audit site productivity and suggest ways to improve productivity.

Requirements of Optimization Engineer/Site Auditor

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in designing and optimizing fire fighting systems.
• Experience working in the construction or engineering industry, preferably with exposure to fire protection systems.
• UAE Driving license is a plus.

• Strong knowledge of national and international fire protection codes and standards.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve system issues.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with project teams and clients.
• Attention to detail and ability to review technical drawings and specifications accurately.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced project environment.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
