Responsibilities of Ophthalmologist

• Responsible for diagnosing and treating conditions related to the eyes.
• Performing laser surgeries.
• Prescribing corrective lenses.
• Conducting eye exams.
• Maintain accurate medical records
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team.
• Keep informed as to current developments in the field of ophthalmology.
• Participate in the implementation of approved curative / preventive programs as they relate to Ophthalmology.
• Oversee and monitor and participate in QA programs as requested by the HOD.

Qualifications & Experience

Following is the eligibility criteria for the role of Ophthalmologist at Saudi German Hospital:

• MBBS or MBBCH (or its equivalent from country of origin) plus one (1) year Internship.
• Msc followed by M.D. or board or equivalent in the specialty.
• In case of sub-specialty, the candidate should have an appropriate training in this sub-specialty at least one (1) year in a reputable health institution.
• Ten year’s physician experience in anterior segment Retinal Surgery, preferably in multi-specialty, academic, tertiary care physician practice.
• Should have experience with clinical and diagnostic methodologies of Vitreo-Retina and be able to perform all kinds of Retinal surgeries independently.
• Knowledge and experience of Surgical Retina.
