Operations Planner, National Oilwell Varco (NOV) UAE

National Oilwell Varco (NOV) presently has a job opening for eligible candidate for position of an Operations Planner (Order Processing) in UAE. This job has been recently posted by NOV and is now open for all desirous applicants. 

Job Purpose of an Operations Planner

• Responsible for ensuring that all the elements of the supply chain flow in conjunction with the requirements of the Sales order until the order is ready to ship to the customer.
• Responsible for communication and coordination with the relevant internal departments and external Supply chain.

Duties of An Operations Planner

• Coordinate all hub activities for the western hemisphere.
• Monitors the Sales Orders and coordinates with relevant departments to decide whether to buy a part or make in house.
• Convert purchase and manufacturing demand from the Sales order/Production Schedule to Purchase Orders and Works Orders.
• Manage and update PO & WO delivery dates, quantities, and any special-sales order specific requirements, to ensure they meet the Sales order/Production Schedule requirements.
• Ensure stock levels are proactively managed in conjunction with demand levels set by ERP system.
• Analyse and recommend cost improvement ideas through product, vendor, and design changes.
• Ensure all manufacturing data is accurate, including manufacturing routings, hours booked to work orders, materials issued to jobs.
• Responsible for raising, distributing & closing of the work orders/ Purchase orders.
• Responsible for producing and circulating the weekly Re-order report.
• Represent the organization in a responsible and professional manner.
• Expediting sales orders/purchase order requirements.
• Always ensure the organization is receiving goods and services in a timely manner.
• Responsible for all the production control activities and functions.
• To liaise with the sales, purchase, logistics, stores, production & QC teams regarding prioritization of the sales orders and work orders.
• Expediting purchase orders, deciding the mode of transportation, and required collection arrangements.

What You’ll Do More?

• Ensure all invoice queries are closed in a timely and satisfactory manner, assisting inventory control with any queries in goods receiving.
• Undertake vendor analysis and selection along with identifying and establish supply agreements to the benefit the organization
• Participate in meetings and keep up to date on issues related to purchase and works order delivery, new product introductions, vendor performance, metrics, capacity constraints and other related supply chain and manufacturing issues.
• Ensure all BOM updates are understood and prioritized within the manufacturing and supply process.
• Achieve target On-time delivery and Lead-time and inventory turn levels based on manufacturing and supply chain capacity/flexibility.
• Identify materials with no further use and recommend disposition.
• Running month-end reports every month before the deadline.
• Ensure accurate and timely inputs of all transactions into ERP by his department.
• Engage in project base assignment to improve stocking levels for the Hun and improve workflow within the product line.
• Engage in any other activities requested by the Management team.
• Comply with all NOV Company and HSE procedures and policies.

Who Can Apply?

Qualification

• High School Diploma.

Experience

• 3-5 years experience in materials planning.
• Experience of using MRP (Material Requirements Planning) systems or similar.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

• General understanding of how an ERP system runs.
