Role overview
As operation theatre support staff, you will prepare and clean theatres, transport patients and equipment, and assist the surgical team with non-clinical tasks. Moreover, you will help maintain strict sterility and safety standards.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and clean operating theatres between cases
- Transport patients, instruments and equipment
- Assist the surgical team with non-clinical tasks
- Maintain sterile supplies and stock levels
- Support adherence to infection-control protocols
- Follow all theatre safety procedures
Requirements
- Secondary education; healthcare support training an advantage
- Previous hospital or theatre experience preferred
- Understanding of hygiene and infection control
- Physically fit and able to assist with patient transfers
- Reliable, organised and team-oriented
- Willingness to work rotating shifts
