Etisalat is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Operation System Support Manager to lead and manage our Operations Support Systems (OSS) team. You will play a critical role in ensuring the seamless functioning of our OSS, enabling us to deliver high-quality services and maintain optimal network performance. This role requires a strategic thinker with a hands-on approach, who can effectively manage a team and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders.

Responsibilities Of Operation System Support Manager 

  • Develop and execute a strategic roadmap for the OSS, aligned with business objectives.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement, system optimization, and integration of new technologies.
  • Lead and manage a team of OSS professionals, actively participating in the design, coding, testing, and debugging of OSS solutions.
  • Oversee the daily operations and management of OSS solutions.
  • Conduct regular performance evaluations, provide mentorship, and training for team members.
  • Manage all aspects of the OSS lifecycle, including design, development, and implementation.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors for successful OSS implementation.
  • Establish and maintain tools and processes for real-time performance monitoring.
  • Identify and address performance issues to optimize system reliability.
  • Ensure OSS solutions and operations comply with legal and regulatory requirements.

What You Will Do More

  • Manage budgets for both OSS projects and operations.
  • Allocate resources effectively for cost-effective project delivery.
  • Foster strong collaboration with cross-functional teams, including network operations and IT.
  • Communicate effectively with key stakeholders to understand requirements and align OSS strategies with business goals.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation for OSS processes, configurations, and developments.
  • Generate regular reports on OSS performance, issues, and improvements for management review.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve OSS processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices related to OSS.
  • Partner with the cybersecurity team to ensure the security of OSS solutions.
  • Provide regular updates to executive leadership on OSS initiatives, achievements, and challenges.
  • Integrate OSS components with other systems and third-party applications.
  • Work effectively with databases to store, retrieve, and manipulate data relevant to OSS operations.

Minimum Requirements 

The eligibility requirements for the role of Operation System Support Manager are as under:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in the OSS domain is required.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing an OSS team.

Skills & Knowledge Desired

  • Strong technical skills in programming languages such as Java, Python, C#, or others commonly used in software development.
  • Expertise in database design, SQL, and database management systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle).
  • In-depth understanding of telecommunications concepts, including voice and data services, routing, and network protocols.
  • A demonstrated track record of developing and managing budgets for OSS projects and operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
