Khalifa University is presently accepting applications from suitable candidate for the job role of Open Rank Faculty Computer Science. The successful candidate will help deliver undergraduate courses for their Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science. The successful candidate will join a vibrant and forward thinking department with a focus on cutting edge research and excellence in education. We are seeking lecturers in Computer Science to contribute to our academic mission. Responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses at the 100 and 200 levels and actively participating in the academic community. Courses expected to be taught by successful candidate include, but are not limited to: Python Programming Language, Object Oriented Programming (with Java), Principles of Computer Science, and an introductory course in Data Science/AI. Responsibilities of Open Rank Faculty

• Actively raise the Department and Faculty’s profile, internally and externally.
• Participate in departmental and faculty seminars aimed at sharing research outcomes and building interdisciplinary collaboration within and outside the department.
• Collaborate with colleagues, both within and outside the University, in conducting and managing research and consultancy activities.
• Academic Service: Contribute to departmental, or University wide working groups or committees as requested.
• Contribute to student recruitment, retention and placement efforts.
• Foster service by contributing to the community at large in participatory, developmental or advisory capacity.
• Support and participate in student organization activities.
• Adhere to the University’s information security and confidentiality policies and procedures, and report breaches or other security risks accordingly.
• Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the accomplishment of tasks and responsibilities, as and when needed.
• Contribute to the academic community through peer review, editorial roles, and professional organizations.
• Engage in outreach, collaboration, and public engagement activities.
• Perform any other tasks assigned by the Line Manager.

Job Requirements

The requirements for the job role of Open Rank Faculty are as under:

• Applicants should possess an M.Sc. or equivalent degree in Computer Science or related disciplines from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of three years of teaching experience.
