Job Description

As a Online Site Merchandiser at Redtag, primary responsibility will be to create visually appealing and engaging online shopping experiences that drive conversion and enhance the overall customer journey on website. Candidate will collaborate with various teams, including marketing, design & merchandising, to curate and optimize product displays, promotions & content on website. Creative skills and understanding of consumer behaviour will be crucial in attracting and retaining customers and maximizing sales.

Responsibilities of Online Site Merchandiser

  • Curate and optimize product displays: Collaborate with the merchandising team to strategically curate and present product assortments on the website.
  • Create engaging collection pages: Develop visually appealing landing pages that highlight new products, promotions and seasonal campaigns.
  • Incorporate persuasive copywriting, attractive imagery and interactive elements to capture customer attention and encourage browsing and purchase.
  • Conduct market and trend research: Stay up to date with current market trends, consumer behaviour & competitive landscape in the e-commerce industry.
  • Utilize this knowledge to identify opportunities for improving the website’s visual merchandising strategies and implementing industry best practices.
  • Work closely with the design team to create visually stunning graphics, banners and promotional assets for the website.
  • Coordinate with the marketing team to align website merchandising with promotional campaigns and ensure consistent brand messaging across channels.
  • Monitor and analyze website analytics, conversion rates & other key performance indicators to assess the effectiveness of visual merchandising efforts.
  • Identify areas for improvement and implement data-driven strategies to optimize the user experience and increase conversion rates.
  • Responsible for product lifecycle management from the creation of product to uploading it on website coordinating with content and Buying team.
  • Maintain product information integrity: Ensure accurate & up-to-date product information is reflected on the website, including pricing, availability and specifications.
  • Collaborate operations teams to resolve any discrepancies or issues related to product data.
  • Stay informed about web technologies: Keep abreast of emerging web technologies, UX/UI trends & e-commerce platforms to propose innovative ideas.
  • Improvements for the website’s visual merchandising capabilities.
  • Work in Shopify from creation of landing pages to uploading of banner, promotions, navigation, data hygiene, item creation, managing collection etc.

Requirements for Role of Online Site Merchandiser

  • Bachelor degree or Diploma in business or marketing or merchandising and retail management.
  • 1-2 years experience in website visual merchandising, preferably in the e-commerce industry.
  • Strong understanding of user experience principles and best practices.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Knowledge of web analytics tools and ability to interpret data.
  • Creative mindset with excellent graphic design and copywriting skills.
  • Familiarity with Shopify and responsive web design.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
