Job Description

Online Merchandiser at Damas Jewellery will play a vital role in inventory forecasting, sales analysis, and data-driven inventory planning. Candidate will manage e-commerce reporting, stock levels and product performance, and oversee product lifecycles to optimize sales. Candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams is essential to ensure product launches and promotions are supported by effective inventory strategies. This is an Intermediate level full time job. And salary can range between 8000-17000 AED/month.

Responsibilities of Online Merchandiser

  • Manage inventory levels to ensure product availability on the e-commerce platform aligns with demand forecasts and promotional activities.
  • Working closely with the Product & Merchandising team to manage OTBs for Ecom as well as marketplaces.
  • Monitor stock status, working closely with the warehouse team to resolve inventory discrepancies and ensure products are always ready for sale.
  • Work closely with the Product and Merchandising teams to plan replenishments for online best-sellers, preventing out-of-stock situations and missed revenue opportunities.
  • Create demand forecasts for each market by leveraging historical data, seasonal trends, and web analytics to support effective inventory planning.
  • Analyze e-commerce sales performance by category, product type, and market to identify trends, optimize stock levels, and refine digital merchandising strategies.
  • Generate daily, weekly, and monthly reports that provide insights into e-commerce sales, stock status, sell-through rates, and margin performance.
  • Develop data-driven recommendations to optimize online inventory, track product lifecycles, and maximize profitability across digital channels.
  • Maintain data accuracy for all digital inventory and sales reports, providing senior management with actionable insights for strategic decision-making.
  • Monitor product lifecycles, applying online strategies for slow-moving items and maintaining optimal stock levels.
  • Plan for peak shopping periods by ensuring adequate stock levels and coordinating timely restocks to prevent stock-outs during promotional events.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that online product launches and promotions are fully supported by inventory.

  • Responsible for analyzing sales performance and stock levels across various marketplace platforms to ensure optimal inventory management and alignment with sales goals.
  • Assess marketplaces product sales data, identify trends, and track stock movements to forecast demand and prevent stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Manage stock transfers between warehouses to meet marketplace requirements, ensuring that inventory levels are consistent with demand.
  • Work closely with marketplace partners to streamline inventory processes, manage product availability, and optimize sales performance across all channels
  • Ensure the accuracy of stock levels across various marketplace platforms by regularly monitoring inventory and conducting stock takes.
  • Managing marketplaces’ monthly invoices and overseeing the invoicing process.

Requirements for Role of Online Merchandiser

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, E-Commerce, or a related field.
  • With over 5 years of experience in retail merchandising, inventory planning, and optimizing product assortments.

Skills And Knowledge Desired

  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in digital demand forecasting and online sales analysis.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work cross-functionally with digital teams.
  • Problem-solving mindset with a proactive approach to resolving e-commerce inventory issues.
  • Attention to detail and a keen eye for e-commerce merchandising best practices.
