Job Description
National Petroleum Construction Company (NPCC) presently has a job opening for eligible candidate for position of an Offshore Construction Manager in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Founded in 1973 & Headquartered in Abu Dhabi, NPCC is a World class Engineering, Procurement & Construction Company that provides total EPC solutions to both off shore and onshore oil and gas sector. It provides engineering, procurement, project management, fabrication, installation and commissioning services to project owners and operators. Company has relationships with most of the Operating Companies (OPCOs), National Oil Companies (NOCs) and International Oil Companies (IOCs) built by good track record of project delivery, quality, safety and customer satisfaction.
Job Purpose of An Offshore Construction Manager
The job purpose of an offshore Construction Manager is to oversee and manage the construction activities of offshore projects, ensuring they are executed safely, efficiently, and within budget.
Duties of An Offshore Construction Manager
- Review all contract documentation to assess constructability, identify any potential areas for concern and to ensure any special features are brought to attention.
- Participate in the development and review of the project-planning package in collaboration with Offshore Operations and the Project Manager to establish the sequence and duration of activities and optimize project execution.
- Manage and direct all site construction activities ensuring that necessary resources are available offshore, all safety requirements are complied with specifications and according to ISO standards.
- Review Engineering drawings, documents and deliverables relating to area of functional responsibility to assess constructability and consistency with contract requirements.
- Prepare project specific and other procedures to ensure comprehensive cover of all project activities not addressed in the contract.
- Participate in compiling the sub-contractor’s scope of work for non-service requirements and undertake bid evaluations, making recommendations where appropriate.
- Participate in preparing the client list of deliverables and progress plans; monitor performance against milestones.
- Identify needs and initiate job instructions and variation proposals to ensure cost effective operations and compliance with contract.
- Attend meetings with clients and follow up on approvals and instructions.

- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
Experience
- 10 years of experience in offshore construction.
