Role of Occupational Therapist

Develop occupational therapy goals and decide appropriate activities to achieve the goal.

Responsibilities of Occupational Therapist

• Do the initial OT assessment and detailed evaluation independently.
• Set up and develop the detailed individualized education plan in collaboration with another specialist if needed.
• Develop occupational therapy goals and decide appropriate activities to achieve the goal.
• Treatment plans should be focused on improving the patients’ cognitive skills, fine motor skills, handwriting skills, strength, and homemaking skills.
• Work with senior occupational therapists or occupational therapist supervisors, verify the treatment results, and modify the treatment goals and activities if required.
• Maintain daily treatment progress and report to their supervisor.
• Conduct initial screening interviews whenever new occupational job vacancies arise.
• Maintain professional knowledge by participating in professional development workshops.
• Support parents by providing activities to practice at home.
• Prepare the necessary reports for the insurance providers.

Eligiblity Criteria

• Education: Master’s Degree in Occupational therapy (MOT) / Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy (BOT).
• Experience: Minimum 1 year experience for junior occupational therapists.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience for senior occupational therapists.

Knowledge & Skills

• Basic computer skills.
• Fluency in English.
• Good communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
