Responsibilities of NRI Business Development Officer

  • Plan and/or participate in setting up desks at third-party/industry events and corporate offices..
  • Distribute approved pamphlets/leaflets about India services.
  • Address customer queries using publicly available information and assist with account opening if requested by the customer.
  • Contact leads generated from campaigns, local marketing activities, and other initiatives to understand customer needs, address queries, and assist with account opening.
  • Stay updated on India services available on HSBC public websites to effectively address customer queries.
  • Route queries about products/services not listed on HSBC public websites to the India HSBC team, maintaining clear records of such referrals according to the process.
  • Assist customers with account opening by completing form filling/documentation verification, etc.
  • Ensure customers receive assistance in activating their accounts, including digital account activation, debit card activation, and fulfilling initial account funding requirements as per the bank’s norms.
  • Service and address specific customer queries and complaints.
  • Strictly adhere to HSBC’s cross-border guidelines at all times.
  • Comply with the bank’s KYC/AML norms consistently.
  • Maintain call reports and Management Information System (MIS) as required.
  • Respond to customer complaints promptly and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Deliver fair outcomes for customers and ensure personal conduct maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial markets.

Requirements of NRI Business Development Officer

The requirements of NRI Business Development Officer are as under:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or a related field.
  • Minimum of two years’ experience in banking sales or an equivalent role like Business Development.
